TROY PAR Upgrades/How to
First of all sorry I posted this in the wrong place https://corsicarms.1fr1.net/t55315-troy-par-upgrades-how-to so please ignore that post hopefully the mods will delete it
Hi I am new here and yes writing in English as I am English living in Toulouse. My French is not so great yet. So it is ok for you to reply in French as I can read French to a degree, else I use google translate.
I did have another subject about Troy and AR platforms to start with but I can not post any links for 7 days?? and as the post would contain many links I will have to wait 7 days to post on that subject.
So I would like to fit a bipod to my PAR 222R which is a version 2, problem is how as acquiring the Troy pictinny rails for the TRX rail is next to impossible. So has anyone fitted a bipod with a clever method and if so could they share how they did it here, it would be appreciated very much.
At the moment I am removing the ugly pump grip and modifying to the version 1 style pump grip with the addition of a verical foregrip. I will share how I did this (with pictures) and a good description of the materials i used and where to get them. I have seen some people have done this modification before but I found their descriptions of how they done the modification to be lacking in basic detail

Re: TROY PAR Upgrades/How to
As I already said I am modding my V2 pump grip to a V1 style pump grip. Today I received some parts to do this:

I will use M5 allen heads which I will source tomorrow. I will need to drill out the solid pictinny rail and this one will be underneath and will mount the vertical grip.

As for installing a bipod, all I need is this part
But it is impossible to find in Europe only in the USA which are not allowed to sent to Europe. So I am directly speaking with Troy and they are working a way out for me to acquire directly, so maybe I ask for more than 1 if anyone else needs this kind of rail.

Re: TROY PAR Upgrades/How to
Ce n'est pas une bonne idée de vouloir mettre une poignée verticale,à la place de la poignée d'origine,la glissière risque de coincer.
Pour monter un bipied sur ce fusil,il te faut monter un rail sur la partie fixe,en avant de la pompe.

Yes the vertical grip can cause problems, but I intend to compensate for this and i will revel how later. And as for the mounting of the bipod, yes I understand where i need to mount it and now I know how and with what.

Oui MBUS ce sont des copies que j'avais sous la main, pour l'instant,c'est pas mal.
Pour le rail,c'est un UTG que j'ai coupé,juste à la bonne dimension

Good effort in finding a solution to mounting your bipod Yes I have heard the copies are not so bad, but not sure how well they will hold zero. I got the real MBUS sights from a local armurerie here in Toulouse he made me a special price of only 100 euros for front and rear .oh and some advice, your front sight can go further forward on the rail, always have your backup sights as far away from each other as you can.

Re: TROY PAR Upgrades/How to
Fixing a bipod under the foregrip is, imho a false good idea. I think the better way would be to make a bipod in the Famas style:
